BILL Template Library
Design lead
Background:
BILL’s design org was scaling, but our tooling wasn't (yet). Despite the growing adoption of the design system, there was a growing gap between atomic components and full-page composition. This delta was creating friction, redundancy, and inconsistency across all product verticals.
Solution:
I created the Design System Template Library—a comprehensive suite of production-ready layouts to serve as a force multiplier in every BILL designer’s toolkit.
Scope: Partnered closely with our Platform Principal designer to deliver a full ecosystem including global navigation, data grids, complex layouts, and UI shells.
Integrity: Built strictly on core DS libraries to guarantee accessibility and brand coherence out of the box.
Impact:
Increased Velocity: Slashed average design workflow time by ~30%.
Reduced Debt: Became a primary lever for eliminating legacy UI patterns and tech debt.
Unified Experience: Standardized global UX definitions, enabling teams to ship with confidence.
This work established a scalable foundation for how BILL designs and builds product experiences.
